are you a dealer? as i said the poppy production has gone into overdrive since the invasion, which may explain what you are saying under the taliban it was hugely reduced, even the yanks at the time were saying how good it was. its common knowledge or so i thought
I've heard many theories about 9/11 and what could of happened. Personally the most crazy one is the one that most people accept as the truth. OBL masterminded it from the other side of the world?? Really? These hijackers with very little training were suddenly able to control massive airplanes with expert control in tight airspace? Out of all the rubble and fire etc, a part of Mohammed Atta's passport was found? ------ I don't know who were behind 9/11 but 10 years on and the country that has benefitted the most from it is Israel as USA have pretty taken over the middle east and secured Israel's future. Plus it wouldn't be the 1st time Israel have attacked USA (google USS Liberty)
Salt of the earth the Taliban. By Ahmed Rashid in Lahore 12:00AM BST 05 Jun 2001 THE Taliban militiamen who rule much of Afghanistan are planning to bring all foreign aid workers and journalists under the jurisdiction of Islamic law and the much-feared religious police. They would have to sign a form that would commit them not to break a long list of Taliban-imposed rules. The form appears to be another step by the Taliban in their apparent attempt to force all foreign aid workers to leave the country, even though Afghanistan is suffering what the United Nations has described as "the worst humanitarian crisis in the world today". It is not yet clear when the rules will come into force. Relief agency officials who have seen the form, say that by signing it foreign aid workers and journalists will have to agree not to watch television, listen to or play music, wear "immoral clothes", eat pork or drink alcohol or commit adultery. The form also requires foreigners to pledge that they will not meet Afghan women, take photographs or try to convert Afghans to Christianity. If they break the pledge, foreigners could face punishment ranging from expulsion and long jail sentences to stoning and death under Islamic law as interpreted by the Taliban. Foreigners would also have to agree to the Islamic punishment for adultery, which is stoning to death for married people and a lashing with a leather whip for unmarried people. a Western aid worker said: "It is not entirely clear if these rules would apply in aid workers' homes and places of work or just outside. So far the Taliban have respected the privacy of our offices and homes, but that does not seem to be the case any longer." UN officials said they had not yet officially received the form and would withhold comment until they did. If the Taliban go ahead with these rules it will become virtually impossible for UN aid officials and other relief workers to continue working in Afghanistan because of the UN Charter, the guarantees of diplomatic immunity and other international agreements that aid agencies work under. But aid agencies are keen to stay in the country to help to alleviate the disastrous consequences of drought, war and famine which have led to one million displaced Afghans crowding into refugee camps over the past few months. Nearly 100 foreign aid workers in the country would also face the dilemma of how to protect their local Afghan staff, who number in the thousands. The Taliban have been taking steps to force foreigners to leave ever since the UN Security Council imposed an arms embargo and other sanctions on the movement in January for refusing to hand over the wanted Saudi terrorist Osama bin Laden. Last week, the Taliban banned female foreign aid workers from driving cars and raided a hospital in Kandahar run by the Red Cross, forcing it to close. The hospital has since re-opened, but unconfirmed reports say that yesterday the Taliban shut down another hospital in the western city of Herat.
This continued until July of 2000, when Taliban leader Mohammed Omar declared the cultivation of opium un-Islamic, and banned production. after the US invasion in 2001, Afghanistan now accounts for 93% of world's total opium production. Production spiked from 7,606 hectares in 2001, to 193,000 hectares in 2007. So whats that a window of 12 months that they decreased opium trading. I noticed that link didn't cover any of the other things I asked you either.
Oh I can read, thank you. I read all your comments about the Taliban's hatred of drugs and heartily made you look like a clueless, oaf I read the Int Reps on a daily basis and know fine well what's happening / has happened over there so you got unlucky.
It reduced from October 2000 to the Invasion in 2001!?! What about all the other years they were in power before that and why did the Taliban then only in 2000 declare it un-islamic?
i can give you the eugenics programme by the US etc But that is not the point and it wasnt the reason for the invasion which is the point There are a lot of scum around mugabe Israel - the biggest perpetrator and breaker of conventions etc but they dont get attacked face it the 2 wars were based on lies that is the point not who is good/bad
