There were a good few, I can't remember them all but the one that sticks in my mind is where one of the Norwich midfield (Johnson I think) slid in completely missed the ball, Sagbo went over the outstretched leg, as his momentum was carrying him forward and Webb was no more than 5 yards away and waved play on. Then on the Huddlestone red, how you can give someone a second yellow when he's going to play the ball with his eyes on it and an opposition player comes in on his blindside and just nicks the ball first?
Everything, except Figs, was mediocre, Figs was poor. Jelavic made a reasonable start, his miss unfortunate, nothing more. We need to get Aluko and Quinn involved asap; we have lost the balance we had. The team ethic needs to return, the passing game needs to find the confidence it had and Huddlestone needs to think attack.
We got a taste of what happens when you miss simple chances and leave posts unguarded at set pieces. Jelavic and Rosie should have had us 2-0 pretty quick and that would have bveen game over. Norwich look very poor to me and looking at there next run of fixtures they wont be getting many points either. My anger was not so much the loss but the gift of an extra 2 points to a struggling team. Europe can wait for another season. Lol.
This was a chance missed, but on the positive side we played ****e and could have got a point out of it, and we only lost by one goal. As far as Jelly is concerned, he showed signs of how good he can be, and I am sure he will be a great signing. It should be taken into account that he is rusty, when he came to Everton from Rangers, he had been playing regularly for Rangers, so was match fit and hit the ground running. Coming to us, he has hardly played, so give him a game or two to get his eye in, then things will start to flow.
