I think there is far more unemployment in Scotland then in England. Otherwise, we wouldn't so many of the ******* down here.
Maybe Hull should just stick a few extra letters to the front of their name and become Solihull (or Kingston Upon Solihull, however you like to look at it).
And what if he didn't? He's already shown that he's a very determined man who will take on any criticism and do what he feels is best. What good would it do the Hull supporters if they followed your advice and the owner uses that as an excuse not to strengthen which results in relegation?
... anything is possible of course ... but for him to do that would be hugely self-defeating to his stated objective of 'building a brand' ... that brand is worth far less outside the Premiership so it's rather shooting yourself in the foot to follow such a course of action... ... not wishing to be direspectful but his arrogance might suggest that he is quite prepared to erode the traditional fan base in favour of building a new (perhaps wider world based) one?
I'd agree ... but then I'm not a multi-millionaire that has probably always got his own way and been successful in doing so
Basically lads it is a case of the old duffer has saved our club and now he will not listen to anyone. He says its his club (which it is) and he will do what he wants. My view is simple, treat your paying customers with respect or lose them forever. If Asda, Tescos or whatever treat me the way this guy is going I would go to Morrisons or Waitrose. There are a few of us who will just go and never buy anything other than the pass. A few of my mates (me included) are quite prepared to start watching North Ferriby until the daft **** sells up. This is far more than a name change as most footy fans should realise. who is next for name changes sunderland all stars swansea swans norwich tweeting canaries leicester foxes derby rams bury the dead the list is endless
@flintoff11: It's not April fools today is it ? Just heard on the wireless that Hull has become the British city of culture ! #windup
So Hull is to be the City of Culture in 2017 - Maybe you can polish a turd after all. Wonga are now eagerly anticipating being named the most ethical company.
Well done on the City of Culture thing. I'd much sooner see money invested in Hull (or anywhere other than London tbh.) Just hope your owner doesn't change his mind and rename you the "Culture Cats" (although that has a nice 'Squeezy' ring to it!)
And Andys Jewels is okay. He has the odd dig, but it's said tongue in cheek. Unlucky Leicester on the culture thing. i don't actually know what it all entails but as long as it helps our economy and hopefully provides some more jobs I am all for it.
There is no chance of that. The deluded twat probably thinks its all council based so therefore he will want nothing to do with it.
To be honest I couldnt give a **** either way. It wouldnt have bothered me if we won it and it doesnt bother me that you won it
It's not like anyone's really bothered about boosting their local economy by £184m, eh Proud? As for the OP, our owner is indeed making a complete twat of himself.
