So I learnt about an interesting study today. So... Octopuses are really intelligent creatures, they're also kinda anti-social when not mating they do not like other Octopus. So some scientists at John Hopkins naturally wondered what would happen if they gave Octopuses ecstacy. It turns out if you give them a high dose they start colour changing sporadically and flip out having a bad trip... ... But at low doses they have the same reaction humans have... They start getting all lovey dovey and snuggly with each other and start acting all goofy. Quite interesting since the Octopus brain is so different to ours... Our last common ancestor was a slug like creature. Ecstacy apparently works by modifying seretonin which is common across almost all earth animals. You could probably give ecstacy to almost any animal and they would become more affectionate. Getting the right dose might be a challenge... But maybe next time a pack of wolves chase you down... Give them ecstacy.
