Yeah Doughty & Luongo need first team game time at this club and at this level, I not sure I would say Kpe & Fers are ready yet, maybe next will be their time. I'll be glad to see the back of many "stars", but I don't put Ale's knee in that category, still sees the game better than anyone else we have.
Must admit he's looked good the couple of times I've seen him but just not enough to judge. He's been here for a long, long time now and been through at least 4 or 5 managers without getting anywhere, remember they see him playing everyday. Much as I hate to admit it maybe that says it all, perhaps he just isn't good enough.
Mate of mine is a big Watford fan and reckons that Toszer was great for them last season. He said that the lad played 30 odd games, was generally solid and banged in a few goals. He reckons that many were surprised Toszer was sold. Another silk purse transformed into a sows ear at Loftus Rd it seems. Perhaps being sold on after a successful season of graft and missing out on playing in the top league has an impact on a player's confidence or attitude ?
For every rule there is an exception. Today we remember Bradley Orr, defensive minded RB who could hide behind a lamppost, mean right foot as well if memory serves. Did ok, We shall remember them.
Like most I like Doughty, I think he has potential. We do have a few Midfielders at present and it makes sense to clear some but I would personally have been looking at some of the larger waged people (perhaps this will happen). Shame, I hope he performs well and forces them to bring him back.
