    "Rio Ferdinand ‏@rioferdy5
What I said yesterday is not a racist term. Its a type of slang/term used by many for someone who is being fake. So there."

Well based on the precedent of the Suarez case, that's for an 'independent' commission to decide. But to recap from the Suarez case, a reference was made to the colour of an oponent's skin. the panel decided that, even though Suarez claimed no malicious intent was involved, that suarez had indeed broken rule 3a as anyone who heard or saw the transaction (not just evra) may have been offended.

This is your bed, fair and impartial FA. Fooking lie in it.

Meanwhile Rio was tightlipped about the issue during training at Carrington this morning.

I have to agree that there's little to be gained for us except in keeping our heads down and enjoying the hypocrites of the media squirming and Chelsea and Utd desperately trying to limit damage.

Lawton's a Utd fan and a dick, as is Ian Herbert, who was doing some damage limitation by appearing on LFC TV's press show this week, following the bile he issued after the FA Cup semi. Every comment from every pursuasion - Mancs, Chavs, the lot - said he was bang out of order. He later admitted so but quietly.

Even Clarke Carlilse who I used to have a lot of time for has changed his ploy, however the damage has been done to Suarez as people will still chant rubbish at him, however I hope he is enjoying this play out in public as it is the FA have placed themselves between a rock and a hard place. I am not sure how even the most ardent Utd, Chelsea, QPR and anyone else who jumped on the Suarez is racist bandwagon can fail to see that Ferdinand agreeing that Ashley Cole is a choc ice can be anything else other than racism tbf Ashley Cole has come out of this quite well as he seems to understand none of Jt case was racism even if words were said it was for other reasons not racism. If this is not acceptable then so beit, BUT then you have to look at all negative language. My manager always says do not implement something you are not able to manage and that is exactly what I think the FA have done. I believe the FA have implemented something that they cannot even possibly hope to control fairly or correctly.

absolutely. Sit back and enjoy the chaos. <party>

PS, isn't it funny to hear Rio X describing what he said as 'slang' and 'not racist'? :emoticon-0103-cool: "We all say that where I come from..."

Thing is, they're that petrified of upsetting him they'll probably agree with him. pity, I so wanted to see Doreen Lawrence at his hearing...<whistle>

And talking of chaos, because they haven't got the result this time around that they wanted (and doubtless to ensure insidious pressure is put on the FA to pre-judge the outcome of any 'independent' panel into Terry) Clark Carlisle will be in tomorrow's papers talking of breakaway black players' unions.

Hmmm, will their recruiting tag, endorsed by Rio X and conveniently ignored by Clark carlisle be "Don't be a choc-ice"?
