I might be over critical but Rodwell looked like hed had a stroll in the park when he came off for Gooch. No sweat whatsoever! We need players to run themselves into the ground for us. Quantity can make up for a lack of quality. That tells its own story to me.
We have defended well tonight and IMO we should have had a pen too. Obvious tactics in preparation for city.
Defended well but no creativity in midfield is a real handicap atm. The Boro game will be the first meaningful test of this teams credentials.
Did anyone notice Pulsic (#22) for Dortmund. That was the player fouled from behind by both Catts and Gooch. At 17, he was generally one of the three subs off of the bench for USA in Copa America. He and Yedlin down the right for the next world cup and beyond.
Another good result for us, we might be a bit of a shambles in terms of new signings but you'd have to say that overall it's been a very solid pre-season.
Exactly. Compare this pre season to last and things look much better. Doncaster beat us 2-0 this time last year if i remember rightly. A year on weve just frew 1-1 withh Dortmund
I thought PVA played well. I see why some on this board rate Rodwell as a CB. If he can take out Kone, like he did early in the game, he can probably hold his own there. And you never have to worry about him scoring an own goal!
