They are gradually turning it into one massive Sports Direct advert. Just watch, next season there will be red on it.

 

The people employed by the club are simply stupid. It's that simple. A club that tries to pass off a 'statement' they wrote as that of the captain tells you everything you need to know.

I cottoned on to this about an hour ago and I just put my head in my hands, its farcical, who is in charge here, who actually makes these decisions? Have Wonga yet to comment (I dont feel sorry for Wonga at all) But If I was paying millions a year I would want the right logo on the shirt. How Foolish can one club look?
Carver, Charnley and whatever staff they have in the club have made literally 100's of errors this season, it’s a joke, they are paid buffoons, why are these people not on disability living allowence, they clearly have no mental capacity!

 

The thing is, usually the owner or shareholders of a business (or club) would bring this insanity to task. Your average owner would be mortified at such abject mismanagement, shareholders would have had several EGM's by now. But we have Mike fcking Ashley.

I just wish above all else that Mike Ashley would agree to sit down, even off-record, for a few hours with a George Culkin or a Matthew Syed and listen. Just listen.

 

I know a bit about retail so by my calculations the shirts will have been made at least 6-8 weeks ago on the final production run.
I'd imagine Mike would order 6 months forecasted sales up front with the balance order variable.
If this is the case, the crap state of the shirt, coupled with the boycotts from the fans will mean people will be able to pick up this shirt for £10 in SD by Xmas I reckon.

 

To be fair to Mike Wonga may not have given him enough notice of the change.
It may be a recent thing and they may then phase the new design in on the second batch of shirts.
In a bizarre way these shirts may actually become collectors items like the Center Parcs ones.

 

They would have 'failed' their ATOS tribunal and have been passed 'fit to work' and so have been taken in as 'Care in the Community'. As per their current roles in the club.
