If they don't trust their Countrymen to that degree, it kind of kills the argument about the 'home of the free' really. It just sounds like pure paranoia.
Americans will never give up their guns. It's ingrained in their culture. If they want to start to address these mass killings they'll need to think of a way to do it so that US citizens don't think their rights are being taken away. I have no idea how that happens but they might start by being a zillion times more rigorous about who can buy a gun in the first place and more rigorous about what can be advertised and bought online. I've seen videos of those US gun fairs, horrific. They're promoting to Joe Public stuff that can kill thousands as if they were flogging home-made jam at the village fete.
Like I often say, and unfortunately increasingly so, it's a ****ed up world ... and the US is right up there.
The one thing that always amazes me is their young people can't go buy a beer until they're twenty-one yet they can buy an armful of semi-automatic weaponry when they're eighteen - go figure?
The CDC reports that alcohol is responsible for 140,000 deaths in the U.S. every year. Firearms are responsible for about 45,000 a year. Nobody needs a drink, I guess
In other news, the EU is debating restricting the import and use of Russian oil. Most news channels are blaming Hungary for not getting an agreement. Yet the biggest consumers of Russian oil are Germany 555,000 BPD and Poland 300,000 BPB. Hungary only takes about 70,000 BPD which could be supplied from other sources. The EU is paying Russia about 1 billion a day for oil and gas, but seem to want to put the blame on Hungary for not stopping it. One of those look over there news items to detract from the real story.
That story's not really accurate. Hungry is stopping the EU from agreeing to cease all Russian imports, everyone has agreed except them, but Germany is going ahead with its ban on all imports even if the EU can't agree one. Hungry has also prevented £300m in educational aid going to Palestine, as they want to vet all the literature that the Palestinians plan to spend the money on. They seem to like throwing a spanner in the works to try and screw more money for themselves.
Hungary, its Hungary not Hungry. If you're hungry, get an Indus Doner Kebab in Nan. You wont want to eat for three days after
That’s probably because Victor Orban is very good chums with Vladimir Putin. Oh, and he’s a massive twat as well.
The neo-Nazi Azov Regiment and other far-right groups in Ukraine are already losing patience with Zelenskyy’s leadership. If it wasn’t for the fact a large chunk of their military strength surrendered in Mariupol to the Russians, they might’ve been planning a coup in Kiev.
