Don't want Sturridge, don't want Walcott, don't want Ince.

  1. Neymar would be perfect: can play wide or central, knows where the goal is, has pace and bags of skill. I just don't see us paying £40m+ and £120k+ wages <laugh>

How many does Suarez miss compared to how many he gets? He is not F9 quality, he is, as he actually is number 7. We need a Number 9 to go with him, or if Rodgers is determined to stick with his formation, to replace him.

While we're at it can the media also stop linking us with Lacina Traore? If we wanted a tall striker with awkward ball control and no pace we'd bring back Andy Carroll

Right or wrong: the reserves yesterday tell you that BR is sticking with Suarez in the middle. He's getting Morgan tested on the wing even though (switched back to yesterday) he scores from he middle.

Believe it or not (I choke saying it, because we all wished that had have happened 2 seasons ago) but it shows that Suarez has took too much on when he was in when Joe Cole scored the other night. He assumed he would have to do it!

More players from unexpected ends are starting to score.

Two quality left & right (with the ability to swap into the middle)? Brilliant .

To be fair I think when Borrell puts players out of position its more to do with developing their perspective and understanding of the game. I mean if he plays a little on the wing he'll know what kind of runs he, as a winger, wants the striker to make, that means he'll be in a position to make the right runs to receive the ball off a winger when he's played upfront.

  7. This. How many times in the past have we played a CB in midfield? Or vice-versa...? It is part of developing a player, gives them a better understanding of their teammates role <ok>

I suspect this may be partly to do with Rodgers too though <ok>

People constantly say that Theo Walcott is too hit and miss, but noticeable that every time I've seen an Arsenal game this season in which he has played he has either scored a goal or provided assists for other goalscorers. Wide players by nature are erratic but you can't ask much more than for them to be regularly providing opportunities for team-mates to score, or to be regularly scoring themselves. Walcott was injured against Villa yesterday and Arsenal drew a blank. Tom Ince is a fine prospect too.
