Don't want Sturridge, don't want Walcott, don't want Ince.

I do think that Sturridge would add to Liverpool but I can understand why people would want him. As a Chelsea fan I know all about him, he is one of the greediest players i've seen. I know that it can be a desirable trait in a striker but he definitely takes it to extremes. It could be the case that he is as greedy because he badly wants to impress at Chelsea by scoring goals. I doubt your manager would want him anyway as he is all about passing football, don't think sturridge give much in that regard.

I would consider Walcott to be a great signing for Liverpool, I think he would make you a lot more dangerous as a team. I can't comment on Ince, haven't seen much of him.

It is, but that's what managers and scouts have to do all the time.

I like walcott and unlike a lot on here would be happy to have him but as to your "better than all your wingers" I ask you this; Would I (or any other sensible fan) swap sterling for him?

At the moment I do think Walcott is better, however sterling has the potential to be better than Walcott imo so I wouldn't swap him for that reason.

Torres also used to hang out on the wing and then cut in a lot, does that make him a winger?

  8. I agree that Walcott is better at the minute but I personally don't think there is a great deal in it even now. However, one is seventeen and the other is twenty-three. IMO, the former will be a better player than the latter as long as he keeps his feet on the ground. Something I would question with Theo considering his rumoured wage demands <ok>

I don't think he should be asking for the amount that is reported, but if there is little or no transfer fee for him then the overall cost might even itself out. If he had a few years left on his contract then I wouldn't even consider buying him if it was up to me, but if you could get him on a free then I'd jump at the chance.

But we aren't managers or scouts, and your opinions are clearly going to be biased because of the fact you have said there is no one better than Walcott available to us. So you're going to dismiss anyone listed by anyone else anyway just to back your own point up, so whats the point in anyone listing players?

  12. I'll be conservative and say he wants £85k per week. That works out at £4.42m per season or £22.1m over five years. If we sign him in January then there will be a signing fee of at least £8m, thats a complete package of £30.1m.

If we signed someone on £60k per week for say, £15m. Thats a total of £30.6m.

There isn't much in it there <ok>

(very quick rough figures of course)

So what if we aren't managers or scouts, we can still see a good player when we see one and we all have opinions on football that's why we are all here after all. I can't think of anybody, if anybody could name someone then i'd change my mind.
