Just cannot work out some managers. We all know that the league (champions league or relegation fight) is top priority for clubs...and owners. Rafa pays lip service to the Siants saying they are on form and they are good. Yet he puts a seriously understrength side and puts at risk (even remotely) that CL place. Surely an FA Cup final and trophy should not deserve putting at risk the clubs involvement in the CL next season. RA would not be pleased if that happened. The only rationale is that he seriously underestimated the opposition and he did think he could beat them with his second string. Or he thinks he cannot be caught by the pursuing London clubs.
