    He is a club legend,
    If he goes, I want him to get an amazing reaction if we face West Ham.
    I just hope that it doesn't mean we are going to lose Joey and Jose and Jonas.

    I agree, but hope that doesn't lead to Barton, Jose and Jonas leaving (although I expected Jose to leave anyway), and hopefully it won't affect our chances of attracting transfer targets.

    This is a very strong statement for a player who has only been here 2 and half seasons, he's a cult hero but far from a legend. Shearer, Milburn, SBR can be discribed as legends.

    yeah realistically he wouldnt have a place in our strongest XI, when every one was putting there team for next season the vast majority didnt have nolan in, from what av heard cabaye is the younger better nolan! if we did get 5 mil then thats a good peice of business considering we got him for 4! team spirit may have taken a nock but it can be re-built! also i disagree with people saying our team spirit kept us up and got us promoted, we stayed up cause IMO weve got much more quality then the likes of the 3 relegated and others down there in the fight, and by replacing the old with newer improved versions cant be a bad thing! despite this am gona miss nolan and wish him all the best :)

    I have an awful suspicion that Fat Boy and his lapdog are trying to get shot of anybody who they think won't toe the party line. If they get their way, Barton will be next. I hope his sticks by his guns and insists on playing out his contract.
