Putting to one side the video, which isn't pretty, the written word only inflames the situation. Why refer back to things that happened 20 years ago? it only inflames the situation. The fact that they go back 20 years suggests a muched inproved situation. This video does little to help the defence though.
Haven't viewed the video, don't want to either. As a jack I am so embarrased that as WELSH we've let ourselves down again! aand as for the lurid reporting of the incident, what do they take us for idiots? all designed to paint us in the most appalling light. Proud of the Bluebirds on here that are condeming the actions of some mindless T***S! (apologies for the last bit but I'm fuming)!
If it's not at a football ground during the football season it's difficult to define it as football (or football related) violence. Most of our boys just said 'boo' at Chelsea in 2010 and some got three years for just being there and shouting (by the way anyone who did actually 'do' something violent deserves every thing they get in the courts). Most lads who throw a punch on a Saturday night out are merely moved on their way. If you say boo near a football ground you get three years, but do the same thing on a Saturday night and you might get a small fine after a night in the cells. Be interesting to see what punishment is handed out to the drunken yobs involved: will it be a football related version of justice, or will the normal sytem apply?
