If that's how you see it fair enough, so why not qualify it with a direct quote..? As for "We're all in this together!" we ain't, most of my clan gave up, along with thousand of other fans, fed up with the predictability & boredom of it all, and the empty seats at the Valley aren't likely to be filled any time soon with the latest "Johnny Never heard of" from the Belgium library... Actions speak louder than words, so we'll see, but trying to fathom a "vision" from that video showing Murray doing his best to keep his eyeballs from whizzing round & round his head, made that blurry for me...
According to Sky Sports, that giant of a club err...Bournemouth, want to take Wiggins and Yann off our hands this week. The good news continues under Roly, as Sky are also reporting a Brighton bid for Dale Stephens. We might be getting a bloke on loan who's name gets you 20 points at Scrabble.
As previously mentioned, don't be surprised if Brighton nab Kermit ahead of the Cherries. My Amex friend is adamant we are about to sell a player to the Seagulls, but it won't be Stephens. The only way Roland is going to change my view is if he gets down the Post Office and withdraws some of his cash to buy a new striker with.
You have to admit Vol, the contracts thing was an issue before. Now, we should be in a position to offer fresh contracts, and Stephens, Wiggins and Kermit should be a priority. If they go, I'll be furious, and the blame falls on RD... mostly. Dale Stephens was promised he could move on if a club came in from oop north. Obviously, even Ian Dowie knows that Brighton is only north if you're French, but there is that side to the Stephens saga. I'm hoping his recent fine form is evidence he is settling down in SE, but if Powell told him he should play hard to earn a decent transfer, you can't blame him for doing his bit, which leaves the club owing him his reward. I do agree about fellow relegation strugglers moving in with offers for our better players. Someone at the club needs to wake up and smell the flowers, but at the momento, bids are all they are, so hopefully, come friday, we'll still have them under registration. Not 100% confident that'll happen though!
It goes back a lot further than that even. "Laurel & Hardy" had a fair go at stopping the rot. They saved the club from administration and stopped the downward slide for a while, but gave up eventually. For my money it goes back to the post-Curbishley years when we were running up huge losses every year, while the well-meaning Richard Murray kept throwing good money after bad, like a losing gambler. I wasn't on this forum at the time, I was on "Your Views" on the OS, and there were only a small minority of contributors who were concerned about this, V-a-v was, in one of his other guises, but not many. What we are seeing now is the chickens coming home to roost, and it seems strange to have Richard Murray still here.
See...lets not all be doom and gloom... let us win this 6-0 Stephens & Yann both get knocks so they are out for a week and would fail any medical they would have before the deadline but back before our next big game
Given our current league position, if we sell even one of Yann, Wiggins and Stephens to another club in the bottom half of the table, that is absolutely shocking IMO. We have just been taken over. Where us the money for new contracts ? No club has ever been successful with a revolving door loan policy, which now appears to be the Belfian's master plan
nothing was going to be settled before tonight, they stayed oop north after udders. transfer window starts tomorrow.
Good point. Might be interesting how they approach the fans after the game - if there are any farewell waves e.t.c
Sadly I can see the Ian Holloway factor swinging this one in your favour. For sure he cultivates what must be a great working environment for a professional footballer.
No reason to think Jackson would be any better than Church. He shone in Div One, was adequate in the Championship and flopped in the Premiership and in Germany. If we sign Piotr Parzyszek on top of Ghoochannejhad and keep Church and Kermit he might be wasted here. If Kermit goes we would need a replacement target man but that would not be Jackson because he is a midget. We really need to trim our squad. We have 27 senior professionals and 17 u21s (some of who are good enough to play in the Championship as well). That is ridiculous for a club with our attendances. We cannot afford to sign lots of mediocrities hoping that one or two will come good. That may well be what is happening with all the Liege cast-offs but wages on the Continent are lower (more realistically in line with attendances) and it may be that not all the costs for the loanees are being passed on to Charlton since RD is footing the bill already.
Yes. Could'nt be bothered to check, but as things have gone from bad to abysmal, my memory has been that Vol called it right virtually from the off.

I will never say "I told you so" to anyone on here as we are all kindred spirits. A few on the other two sites called it badly wrong however. It was obvious from the first transfer window that this arsehole and his bitch were a disaster waiting to happen. Was it really only a year ago that we lost 5-0 at Watford? On that day we had Neil Etheridge in goal, Damien Matthew was our temp manager for the game, and Guy Luzon watched the game from the directors box. A year on, what have Etheridge, Matthew and Luzon got in common ?
