I disagree. on TV he sounds like a comedian. On Dutch TV doing his accents anyway! He actually has a very decent record as a manager. He has spent a lot of time travelling and learning, he has managed abroad, basically done it all the right way. Problem I would have at Sunderland is I think 90% would be deflated about him from the off. Sunderland need a bit of feel good factor at present.
This. McClaren isn't the answer for us imo but he is no mug either. His track record in club management is actually very, very good. Unfortunately if is always remembered for his England **** up. The same was true for graham taylor who also was a failed England coach but a top class club manager. That said its MoN or Hughes for me.
