Yes, what a great goal by Grant Holt at Chelsea, who despite carrying a few extra pounds is certainly a savvy campaigner and knows where the goal is. Big Dave is just not up to this level of play.
Because to be able to defend someone you need to show some positives and sadly he had none today. Hes big and strong yet he gets knocked off the ball. He has no killer instinct. He contributes nothing to the game He doesn't score enough goals for a forward He couldn't even convert that Adel rebound off the post. Everytime we attacked and the ball went to him it broke down. Yes he can run but so can Linford Christie but he won't score you goals? So that's why i made that comment and i will stick by it. If anyone thinks he did well today knows nothing about football. The first four are generalisations about his game that i don't think anyone would disagree with. The final two, althought they do apply to this game specifically, are wrong. A better striker might of converted the Tarbs rebound, but it was by no means easy- certainly HH wouldn't of. Was it really everytime he got the ball? 100% of the time he revieved it he lost it? He's crap but he wasn't bad in the first half, although along with everyone else his performance dropped in the second.
I think it's fair to say Dave will have no future at QPR once the transfer window is up, he's only still with us because he was one of the first to get a 4 year deal back in Jan 2008 and no-one else will have him on that kind of pay. Scored vital goals to keep us up in his first season but pretty anonymous since, he'll be gone by January...
Okay Grifter i will agree to disagree. Everyone has their own views but i would be very surprised if people actually think that Agymang did okay today. I would ask myself a question as well. Would you be happy with him up front every week? I know my answer and probably 99.9% of others.
