I don't want my kids growing up in that sort of environment. I know that much. If I ever need one, they'll respond like they do now. It's not like they aren't available.
I know what isn't wise, living on the other side of the world for decades then telling people that their opinions based on their experience in world you now know nowt about is bollocks. Never mind the collapsed reform by home office error, funding issues, the staffing issues, paperwork bureaucracy and strain on frontline policing which has resulted more mistakes, police brutality cases and human errors leading to the collapse of cases. Or the all round 'hard arse' attitude the police a currently implement. But give them a gun aye,(Even though there's no budget to fund it such a massive infrastructure which would mean new training and equipment for every police officer in the country) an idea from bright sparks here and suddenly he's the oracle of all knowledge chattin ****, gettin tetchy, questioning people's wisdom and calling their views bollocks just because they disagree When they put wisdom in the tip of your penis, I'll be round to consult you on all things wise. Until then you're just a blithering pissheed village drunk on a football forum as far as I'm concerned.
We have one of the lowest death by shooting ratio's in the Western world, and that is largely down to our present gun laws. Why go down the road of the yanks where an average of 33,000 people a year are shot dead? massive no from me..
Nice to see you back Bri….Huckleberry challenge for me and you if we finish top 8 Eh ? Get some of our fat Mackum Bros down
God no! What an awful idea. You ask any foreigner on the street in London, especially the yanks. They're reassured by the fact the police aren't armed. It tells them they're in a place (relatively) safe enough that every policeman doesn't need to carry a gun. Edit: At the same time, it is reassuring, for me, to see heavily armed police in key places. Like Kings Cross for example.
Give them all ****ing suits of armour like robocop with mounted machine guns, and an ice cream scoop. I'd arm them, not all of them, but those patrolling in the beats in the worst areas. Longsite over here for example, full of gangs with guns, who could target police at any given moment. Two girl police officers were killed by a guy carrying a Glock and a ****ing hand grenade, they stood no chance. Not everything is black and white and comparing us to the Yanks is a completely irrelevant and unfounded argument.
Seems the againsts are in the majority. Thought there maybe a swing for the For movement, with everything that is going on. Obviously not.
I look at the USA where the powerful gun lobby always call for more people to carry weapons as being the solution when ever there is a major shooting incident. The reality is that it just leads to more and more people being shot dead..
Britain isn't a safe place. I was talking to an American who moved here from Chicago (for career reasons). He told me he'd never been mugged in Chicago, but he'd been mugged twice in London. So we have to drop the idea that more guns will make Britain "like the yanks". Introduce guns here, and it will end up worse than the U.S.A. has ever been. This country today is close to total anarchy. Thanks largely to do-gooders, anyone under 25 can do virtually anything they like and get away with it. Just think about adding guns to what we see on the streets every day! No thanks.
