Agree and to be honest totally fed up of it with him. I hope we sign this Tabanou and he is a better play and gets to be first choice. Give him something to whinge about.Never mind theres always the customary January "will he , won't he " to look forward to
Tell Taylor that he thinks he has the right to be No. 1Nothing like competition guys.
"Thinks" being the word.Tell Taylor that he thinks he has the right to be No. 1
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30998775He might start sulking, about now,bbc say tabanaou's agent says the only club he'll sign for is swansea!
What is it with Taylor that fails to endear him to some. Is it coz he's ............?
This season he has played very well and has impressed and improved game by game to become a solid, uncompromising left-back.
I don't understand the unwarranted abuse thrown Taylors way or why his loyalty is constantly questioned. If you measure Taylors loyalty against our own gold standard, Leon Britton, then you have to wonder why Leon hasn't been targeted with similar abuse.
It could be said that out of the two Leon is less loyal to Swansea than Taylor. Now, I love Leon and don't think he deserves any criticism what-so-ever, but imo, neither does Taylor but Leon did up and left us when the going got tough under Sousa; career minded, head strong or just plain disloyal?
Leon made a decision to leave and not stay to fight for the club alongside Tate, Dyer, Monk, Rangel, Ash, et al yet little was said against him at the time; no murmurs of disloyalty or selfishness, just a resounding 'good luck Leon' from us all. We all welcomed him back too with open arms when he came running back to Swansea after Sousa left.
When Taylor wasn't first choice last year, due to his injury and subsequent recovery, he didn't look to leave us as some would have us think.
What Taylor actually gave was an admission that, as far as he could see, the only way he'd (Taylor) get regular first team football was if either he or Ben Davies left Swansea. This was reported in the press and incorrectly regurgitated on 606 by those unable to comprehend the meaning of the words in front of them and took this to mean a 'him or me' ultimatum.
What he actually said was an admission that, at the time, Ben Davies was the better left-back of the two and ahead of Taylor and the only way he'd get first team football was if Ben left.
This is how I see Taylor, he certainly deserves praise for the way he's fought back over 18 months from a near career ending injury. It takes a lot of pain, sweat and tears to come back to fighting fitness after such a horrible injury but fight he did yet gets no praise, not even an acknowledgement of his incredible efforts.
his efforts have paid off and Taylor now is an excellent left-back. He may miss a pass, but who doesn't? he may miss a tackle, but who doesn't? yet these are what's focussed on and not the number of crosses he blocks or interceptions he makes or tackles he inflicts, which go blindly by with little acknowledgement.
Leon is not first choice anymore and so he is preparing to leave us, again, probably to the MLS. I wish him all the best wishes I can and do not question his loyalty at all.
But, as far as Taylor is concerned I do not question his loyalty either. Newcastle wanted him, he stayed with us, Fulham, he stayed with us, QPR, he stayed with us, Villa, he stayed with us, Palace, he stayed with us. Sounds like a pretty loyal player to me and as a bonus, he's a fine left-back too.
Your opinion then
Will he start sulking if Tabanou signs and gets in front of him.

Its not about his form, I believe he has had a tidy season. His getting in the press about leaving and wanting more at the end of every season has become very tiresome and I am fed up of it. If he wants out then **** off and do it. He is more than replaceable.Totally agree with this summation. I've always liked and respected Taylor as a player though. Never understood the panning he used to get.
Same sort of situation with Ramsey at Arsenal. Not all fans will give the player the benefit of the doubt to fully recover and find form following a bad injury. Shame.
