Totally different for me.. for a straight return to Preston from Hull it would cost me £26 (changing at leeds)
but for a return to leeds.. then a return to preston it only costs me £18
 
The other season, the train fare to Portsmouth (change at Kings Cross) was cheaper than the fare to Kings Cross.
 
Last month I travelled from Hull to London on the train and a first class ticket was 25 quid cheaper than a second class one.
It was great I had a nice cooked breakfast and all the tea and coffee I wanted and big comfy seats.
I have no idea what was going on but check on line several times and see what comes up do'nt just trust the first price you see.

Just checked and

Sandbach - Manchester £11.50
Manchester - Leeds £8
Leeds - Hull - £8 = £27.50

How much of a cunny am I???

Wow, ive always hated trains for the prices they ask thats how come i try all the ways i can to try and get it the cheapest. i do only say a fiver but still... but you got robbed! haha
 
all these new stadium lack atmosphere, sadly theres no going back, but do miss the old grounds with all there failings, seating has alot to answer for regarding atmosphere.
