I believe we always have a goal or two in us... however can we keep a clean sheet ?( solve this problem we will get promoted).
Cheer @RTB Going for 3-1 to the lads and after an excellent performance at Arsenal we'll hit the ground running at Doncaster. (saying that this is Sunderland so absolutely nothing will surprise me) We'll miss Broadhead he seems to have the scoring knack at the moment. But I'm going for Stewart to regain his form in front of goal and bag a hatrick
Things are getting interesting up the top now. A win tomorrow and we are bang on 2 points per game. Which included a very dodgy spell. Sets us up well for the sharp end of the season.
Agreed but our main scorer is out and it’s our 1st game without him. Hopefully we still get the goals needed. The defence is suspect hopefully they have stayed off the Christmas pud.
This team has really dug deep and pulled out some results after taking a battering. I think we'll go down there today for the three points. It'll be another battle but I think we'll win the game ... .... more great support and I hope everyone comes home happy, Haway the Lads!!!
I expect a win today. We have players finally coming back from injury meaning a stronger bench and more options again. Bring one or two players in in the transfer window. I can only see us getting better in the 2nd half of the season. Automatic promotion incoming.
Still fingers crossed for me, we need imho a good Jan transfer window. Keeping clean sheets being the main problem and if Broadhead is put for a couple on months another striker.
Agree about Broadhead. Going to be a massive miss. Hopefully not as bad as we fear and we only lose him for a month. Would be nice to have him in the last 10-15 games. Regardless I expect another striker in Jan and would be disappointed if we didnt. No idea who though.
I know its not as exciting as goal scoring, but clean sheets will almost guarantee promotion. Do we have a good specialised defensive coach... if not, appointing one could be crucial. One who works with the whole team on what to do if we do not have the ball. Players have to be very fit to play a whole team pressing tactic. Are we fit enough?
Didn't realise it was 12:30 kick off FFS. Had been considering going with the lad until the mrs tested positive yesterday Again lol.
Plymouth were flying then faltered, Wigan, Rotherham, etc have all had shocks. We've had a poor spell, not helped by injuries, but have a good spirit by the looks of it. We seem to have learned the lesson that the fight comes before the football. It's great when we show up the cheats by passing the ball round them but let's not be afraid to stick the boot in.
If Cirkin plays I could see Evans in the starting eleven. Incidentally, my Mag relatives would usually be having a few digs before our game but no texts at all so far ... ... they must be worried that we win and they get another battering later on
