There's a lot of stuff that these Doncaster players are doing that our most of our young lads haven't learned yet, it's not really a fair reflection of Hull City or their ability. But it does highlight my point about fielding a reserve team in the lower leagues instead of the reserves league.
Think u miss the point. Not one of them has staked any sort of claim. Nowhere near, and disappointingly that includes Simons and Smith. Really poor.
I can't believe this is being judged so critically, if ever there was a game that was just about minutes its this one.
And the moral of the story is that Simons should never be allowed to play against Doncaster Rovers again. Or possibly anyone. How **** must he be?
I think they need more time to play the system. Maybe pitting them against a full strength men's side wasn't the way to do it.
Would have thought it was also just as much about seeing who might rise to the challenge and stake a claim. Imo nobody did, disappointingly
Will never work. The Championship would end up half full of prem teams reserves then what if one of them get promoted
The style of play requires trust in each other and it's difficult to build that with a fired up Donny chasing you down. Individually, supported by more senior players the transition would be a bit easier. Not saying any of them will or won't step up, just that personally I wouldn't judge it off this game.
They wouldn't be allowed to get promoted past a certain level. The reserves wouldn't be allowed into the National League levels in my system. Nearly every top footballing nation allows B teams to play further down the leagues, in fact we're one of the few that don't do it.
True, but then it won't matter if the lads are playing at Northern Premier League Level. Anything is better than the system we have now.
