I don't blame the guy at all...having to field some moronic questions and even abuse from some so called fans, i'd say screw that at well.
It’s a shame that the moronic sect of your support has ruined what was an excellent line of communication between club and fans. This is why the higher ups tend not to be so communicative, ala the numpties we have in charge. Hopefully he will come back. He earned a great deal of respect from me for being so transparent and open (not that, that will mean much to him ha)
Just reading an article on the Sunderland Echo site and Donald has said Juan Sartori is going to be more involved now!
People can pretend to be anything they choose on social media. Relentless anonymous tossers can jaundice any forum. Cowards, with a grudge, can use forums etc to say things they'd never dare repeat to someone's face.
Wonder what Donald’s response will be to Campbell coming out and saying he was actively looking to sell. Good to hear Sartori is getting involved cos we need some dollars from somewhere.
Also says that head of terms were signed in March.... Methven said no heads of terms had even been drafted in their end of season podcast. He's full of ****.
Might be being sceptical but it seems they got in there first to basically backtrack. This whole being 'open' with the fans is actually starting to make them look silly in my opinion. Far too many contradictions for my liking. Donald: it was only investment Campbell: it was a full takeover Methven: no HOT drafted Campbell: HOT signed in March before checkatrade final
Do you think the whole thing hinges on Sartori then? Now he's back in the fold there's no need to sell... I thought the comments about signings were contradictory too. First it was a case of one in, one out. Now we might bring a few more in. I'm not ready to give Donald and co a bashing just yet but it does all sound a bit odd.
I'm not so sure on Juan either. If he basically put us down that easy to concentrate on something else then he could quite easily do it again couldn't he? I honestly think the whole being open thing is actually meaning they are tying themselves in knots. Are they telling us things that they think we want to hear but then realising they aren't realistic or whatever. I don't know. I don't wanna seem like I'm all against them as they have done some very very good things for the club.
It sounds to me like they are being a bit canny and waiting for the right time to buy players at the "right price" - if people know we've got shed loads of cash to spend then we are unlikely to get players in without paying over the odds. We certainly got a spanking over the Will Grigg transfer fee. Anyway - the whole point of resurrecting this thread was to give people a chance to listen to what Stuart Donald actually said.
Didn't he have to relinquish all of his business interests to run for the presidency though? He maintained links with SAFC despite that so I got the impression he was genuinely interested in being involved.
I genuinely don't know the exact ins and outs in running for a presidency with regards to business interests. Just found an article in the Chronicle that says despite not getting the gig he will be pressing on with his political interests for the foreseeable. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/juan-sartori-confirms-hes-uruguayan-16524047https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spo.../juan-sartori-confirms-hes-uruguayan-16524047 Strange because Donald said he's now back on board which seems again slightly contradictory!!
