Found out yesterday that apparently the Daily Echo are again banned by Saints. This is regarding the way that they reported the tribute (lack of it) for Dean Richards.
Now we all know that Cortese is no chump when it comes to dealing with press. However do you think he acts too rashly towards them? I know the Daily Echo aren't the most brilliant local paper, but still probably the main source of information we can get about saints (through paper form).
I think he acted incorrectly about banning national media (the time when sun threw its toys out of the pram) but maybe its different in Italy, because over here there is lots of press interest?
I think he is the best possible person to be in charge of Saints but maybe a friendlier approach to the media and press might help him/the club somewhat?
For example, before we played Man U, Le Tiss and Benali were on TV and described their *problems* with Cortese on air, and kind of made our club look disrespectful towards ex legends and sort of slagging the Don off.
Anyway, just a thought, in my opinion he's the right man for the job and players wont be sold under him, unless he gets a great fee for the club. He could perhaps be more forgiving towards press though? Might give a better image to our club nationally? or is that irrelevant for us fans? What are your opinions...
PS: Was watching Casino Royale last night and (Le Sheaf) excuse spelling, the bond villain, reminded me slightly of Cortese haha....
