Absolutely. The Valley was rocking for most of SCP's time in charge. One of the best LB's I ever saw and all round good guy. The squad was in a right old state when he took over as well, following Dowie, pardew and Parky.
What the geezer did for us as a player and a manager but his last gigs have not gone too well so it will be interesting to see what holds for him in the future. Perhaps as an assistant will be where he finds himself better suited.
Great news that Pardew is leaving the country ....but why would Chris Powell give up his England job to work with him
Maybe football administration (and making up a quota) is not Powell's gig after all. Despite his recent lack of success, perhaps he would prefer to get involved managing an actual Club again.
