I pay £0 a month and legally get all the music I want for free from my CD/mp3 collection and Pandora... I can also legally download 6 songs to keep each week from my public library (they have just about everything you'd want)... Or stream any song to my phone in their collection unlimited times. I don't pay for music anymore. Actually not true. I have an $8 month satellite radio in my car but I use that mostly for BBC even though it has a couple hundred adfree music channels.
Honestly, I don't know anything about him. I recognise the name but couldn't pick him out of a lineup. I'm out of touch with pop culture.
Thats ****ing dumb, (not you I might add, getting all the music you want for nothing is far from dumb), but if you pay nothing for music, then how do you expect people to keep making music? If there were a legal way to get any song you wanted for free, then there would be no music industry.
It is 100% legal for me to get nearly any song I want for free. (lookup freegal). The catch is I'm limited to 6 songs a week I can download to keep. Can stream unlimited though. I do occassionally buy a CD still... Maybe once or twice a year. Usually from artists I discovered listening to free on Pandora. Besides that, how do I expect them to make money? Other people paying... Lol. The thing is... The real money has never been in music sales anyway (not for artist at least... Most of that money goes to the label). What makes artists megarich has always been live concerts. That's what makes dinosaur bands keep going back on tour. And no... I don't go to concerts either... Last concert I went to (besides wiggles with kids) was probably 15+ years ago. These days have no desire to be surrounded by cigarette smoke and drunk teens screaming.
it is the premise everyone uses besides its forces"artists" to realise one song and royalties can't make a career and the thinkg about that is it cuts the knees of simon cowell you have to gig and sell merchandise to make money so we are seeing bigger stadium tours and a lot of old farts playing them now I would say within 5/10 years we will have touring more done than anything... the thing is its good for everyone. Oh and simon cowell will switch to seeking boy bands to sell round the place not old bints or aging rockers on x factor....... touring is the place to be. am i wrong?
The frustrating thing is, most people are ****ing stupid and so will never try any of the other hardware. But Apple really is atrocious. They helped lead the way with the iPhone and iPod, but they are too rigid, insist on total control over every app and everything you download on your apple product, people who know anything about this kind of stuff will avoid Apple like the plague
To be fair, you're right. But it's also why their software is secure and virus free - as a result, it continues to run quickly and efficiently for so long.
