we'd surely have heard about this before? anyway red bird are not FSG. They bought a stake in FSG 10% for 730mil which basically paid back double every penny fsg ever put into LFC. They have now bought AC milan? it seems to read like this crowd have a majority stake in AC and the owners of NY yankees have a minority stake. Its kind of interesting that people forgive FSG everything for whatever reasons (some very good reasons) but they don't see to realise that 200mil +50mil+ 120 mil (loan) has been paid back 10 times over in global revenues achieved and that investment they managed to sell. FSG could literally hand us 500mil for players tomorrow and not be stretched but will never do so. They could write off the 120mil stadium laon but won't. they jsut suspended the repayment over coivd. The could have paid for anfield road end. LFC paid for it fully (70mil) they could have paid for kirby. they didn't LFC did. So LFC are living within their means. no sugar daddies here. quite how chelsea can be doing what they are doing i don't know. 250mil spend. 40mil recouped and in theory more transfer to come. the club was said to be unsustainable and needed loan forgiveness off RA constantly. new owner... slosh the cash about. I can see them having a rude awakening in 2 seasons time.
Well FSG is more than just Liverpool. It's also the Red Sox, I think some sports news web site, something to do with NASCAR and also an Ice Hockey team. We're the most valuable individual part of their portfolio, but a share in FSG gets you more than just a share in Liverpool. So it's not like that money all went to just paying for LFC... We're less than half the value of FSG total.
