Cest - I am not going to disagree that it is my reponsibility to ensure that my dog behaves and believe me I take it seriously - my point is that little kids are not in the park on their own - they are there with their parents and parents who allow kids to launch themselves randomly and unsuspectingly at dogs are not taking their reponsibilities seriously.

I was down the Denes with the dogs a few months back and a large group of old 'Bank Top 100's' were on the way down the pub in their best clobber, Skip jumped up on a couple of them leaving footprints on their attire. I was expecting grief but they just said 'no mate we encouraged her', even Hoolies know the score.

The kids belong there as its a man made park for human use. Dogs dont belong there. What should the parents do? Put leads on their kids?

You obviously don't like dogs so you wouldn't need to worry. They are perceptive creatures my two(and all), they would be baying like **** for your blood but being well trained would be snarling at heel.

Don't blame the dog, blame the owner<ok> A more complaint creature there is not, dogs are intelligent and loyal and to be frank...Meh! there are more ****ty humans than bad dogs as a %age

I don't think we are going to reach an agreement on this. Humans and dogs co-exist in a domestic setting and have done for a few hundered years - this is not going to change any time soon and so both parties need to take elements of responsibility (with the dog owners taking the lions share) to ensure that this co-existence is as harmonious as possible.
