........................... That may not be the case soon. I have heard from a source within HCAFC (i will not name him obviously), that the Allams are looking for potential buyers for the club. Believe it or not that is what i was told today.
**** sake I wish we'd never gone to the PL sometimes... a lot of our fans are now completely delusional. They want success overnight. To imply that it's basically the Allams' fault if we're not up there because they could not give us the extra "spare change" to "guarantee" promotion is absolutely ridiculous, whoever i'm pointing the finger at shuld have a good night sleep and ****ing wake the **** up afterwards. They could have just as easily spent £5million in January and not gotten us up. NOTHING is guaranteed. Just look at west ham who will probably miss out on Automatic promotion. Some of you really need to get real and realise that it may be some time before we go back up. But if that's what is needed to guarantee sustainability of our club then so be it. Only a year and a half ago we were in the S H I T! (thanks PB and PD) have you forgotten? How can you expect this to happen and basically get promoted the following season just because we got bailed out by some wealthy new owners? Man city have had **** loads to spend for 3 seasons now and they still haven't won the league. Standards have gone up far too high since our PL season. It's time some people go support man city or come back down to earth and realise this is not how things are done. We're going to be building for another 2/3 seasons. Selling assets and hopefully bringing in young cheaper players who will eventually turn a profit. If we get promoted while doing so then great! but otherwise just accept that we have limited funds and that there 23 other teams in the league.
I can’t recall Mr Allam riding in on his white horse and proclaiming he’d have us in the Premier League within 18 months!?! Yes, we have missed an opportunity this season (well, it’s not over yet) but people need to stop thinking we are owned by some billionaire Sheik who is ploughing unlimited funds into the club. We kept hold of our best players in the January window and I fully expect that we will do so in the summer too. Talks of losing Rosey, Chester, Koren etc are wide of the mark. We may not have millions to spend in the summer, but the signings of Koren, Rosey, and McKenna show that with the right nous you can play the free transfer market well and add some quality to the squad we already have. Some of the more impatient fans should be thankful that we have a club at all!
Completely agree. If the club is run as a business from now on it might mean that we are "stuck" in the Championship for years or might even go even lower (we have no divine right to be in this league). We'll need to build gradually, there will be ups and downs. Even if we had bought a couple of £3m players we might not be in the play-offs. As long as the players fight for the club I don't mind what division we are in.
They'd have to take a big hit, it's not worth anything like what they paid for it, so I doubt that's true.
maybe so , but like i said, only repeating what i heard from within the club. If they cant get their hand on the KC and surrounding area and no intention of spending more money on the club, then whats next for them to do. Maybe its just scaremongering from them again , like moving to Melton.
