i think he is getting close to knowing his strongest 11 but due to injuries he had not fielded too often . Just from what ive seen I’ll post mine . Would be interesting to see what others think .

Lumley
Rangel
Hall
Leinster
Barbet
Manning
Ball
Eze
Chair
Hugil
Wells

Probably right, but from what I hear it sounds like we need a better alternative to Barbet. I’m not 100% convinced that we have a promotion-winning goalie yet either.

I think it is

Kelly
Rangel Leistner Barbet Manning or Wallace
Cameron or Ball, Scowen or Amos
Chair or Pugh Eze BOS
Hugill

OR

Lumley or a new signing
Hall Leistner Barbet
BOS or Rangel Cameron Eze Amos or Scowen Manning
Hugill Wells or Chair

Or. Smith or Pugh or Kane.

Errr I doubt he has a best 11. Maybe a best 24, or a best formation.

A best eleven would depend a lot on what formation is being played. On current form, I would say that the only certs for inclusion would be Leistner, Manning, Eze, Chair and Wells.

It's a nice position to be in where we can have 2 players in every spot depending on what formation we play whether it's 352 or 4231 or 442...….we haven't had that for a number of seasons.....

I think we've already seen that MW is very focused on a squad system rather than a fixed 11. He is also not afraid of changing formation to suit the circumstances. This means for example, that Cameron is essential for some shapes but not for others. That said, Eze, Chair and Manning naturally fit with the system and Leistner has forced himself into the team and is now pretty much indispensable.

To be fair to MW, I think his first choice 11 is quite different to the current 11 but he is fair on those who are in form.

He's pretty much admitted it with Manning and I wouldn't have thought Chair was very close to regular starts a couple of months ago.

I rate him above all our centre-halves but Leistner. Think in time they’ll complement each other nicely. Don’t like Cameron back there at all.
Agree. Think Barbet has played all our Championship games so far, apart from the one he was suspended for. Can only think of Eze and Manning who have played all of them.

It has to be Kelly, imo. Our keeper situation isn't great by any means but Lumley has cost us a number of points. Can anyone really say Kelly has been totally at fault for losing points? Perhaps in one game only.

I couldn't say that Kelly was at fault for any goals conceded, but I don't recall him actually making a save either.

Was going to say something similar, but you've done so more eloquently. I think (in a good way) the question is redundant.

Yes, I'm not exactly singing Kelly's praises (although he is the best distributer we've had in goal for a while). We need a new keeper in the Winter window.
