i think it serves a purpose. maybe i like talking about southampton fc to true supporters, and enjoying banter with people. maybe it means i can have fun and talk football to people who love the same thing as me, sure i dont live on here, but its nice to be able to have that freedom to be able to join in a conversation with a saints fan, there are too few where i live. if you dont like it, why sign up?

I have had some great conversations on the forums and come to realise that, even among my rivals, there are some jolly good eggs on this site and BBC606.

Some right berks too, but you know how it goes.

Lambsy, I only have mega powers on the Pompey site, for obvious reasons!
 
St godders...........Got to give it to you...........you have posted yet another "shall we be generous and say it is an unusual question about something that is very obvious" At the time of posting you have had 23 hits talking about absolutely nothing. You have asked the question which in reality has been answered indirectly by every one of the posters. Which clearly means this must be a platform of debate. What you have gained from it is only a matter of conjecture. The same for others. When there is so little to talk about regarding the forums principle aims. People will often ask searching if somewhat bizarre questions to get people talking. Yes, I'm afraid you're wrong. If you agree with the OP that the site isn't for you, leave. If all people wanted to discuss was football, these forums wouldn't exist - most normal people can discuss it down the pub with their mates and other fans.
 
I enjoy this site because I get to discuss Saints with other fans as otherwise on the Island I only have my son (who doesn't live here) and a couple of regular customers in my shop (who admittedly seek me out so must have the same problem). We don't all regularly go to pubs. The style of the site suits me...little agression or vulgarity. There are different sites for different people..this one just doesn't suit you.

Been at the sherbet again have we? This is a discussion forum, not a place to air your own personal grievances.

I have not voted as all of the questions are biased towards negative views of the site, or banning the blue few from our site which again is negative. I love the site. it is a chance to talk football with different people, hear gossip, have banter with our cousins in the east and fans of other clubs, such as HoadieBoy, who has been quiet of late. there are some right plums from both ends of the M27, but SB3 is the only one who has earned my ignore button. If you find the forum so poor, then i suggest you either stop posting, and move elsewhere, or better still have a long think about why you are so negative, and perhaps review what you are expecting from an online forum.
 
Your hatred of the Portsmouth club and its fans seems to go way beyond what is acceptable in a football rivalry. All they have done to you is support a club a few miles down the road from yours. A rivalry adds an extra competitive edge to the game, and it's nice to see your team do better than theirs, but that level of hatred is completely unnecessary. It's just a game, stop being a twat.
 
I enjoy chatting to people about football and other stuff. Sorry about that.
 
Can't answer the poll as none of the above apply. I miss BBCs 606, and thisn't by any means a bad substitute. Shame it's infested with cheap shabby adverts though.
 
As I don't live in Southampton and there's no Saints supporters around, I like that I can join in some chat about Saints and hear the absolute bollocks that's being spouted. If it irritates me, I move on to another thread.
