Does the NLD matter that much anymore?

LF you are my favourite person <laugh>

The NLD does matter more now than it did pre-2010 because it's become like the Tyne-Wear Derby in the sense that in August both teams accept they won't win anything so the derby itself is the thing that can draw bragging rights over.

It's more one way than most though. The NLD means/meant far more to Spurs than Arsenal from my exp. A lot of Arsenal fans I know still see United and Chelsea as bigger games (at home that is), but to Arsenal fans born & bred in North London Spurs will always be THE game. As Spurs have improved and the gap has shrunk NLD's have made for better viewing. In terms of entertainment it is by far the best derby because both sides are about as apt at the art of defending as a camel in a break-dancing competition.

London Derbies IMO are underrated whilst North West Derbies are criminally overhyped. The build up to that Manchester Derby (the one that was 0-0 at the Etihad) was borderline ridiculous

Playing you in an FA Cup Final. I'm assuming you were an Arsenal fan then?
