    I use Wright's Coal Tar myself so I don't know and anyway I send the very lovely Mrs Godders:emoticon-0115-inlov off to do the shopping. I've never been inside a grocer's shop.

    His utter ineptitude, selfishness and greed nearly lost me the club I have supported since I was a small kid.

    If anyone wants to praise him, that's fine, as there will always be positives in any situation. There were even positives from Hitler's regime if you look hard enough for them.

    But just because Volkswagen came out of Nazi Germany, it doesn't make Nazism right, and just because our academy carried on being good doesn't maean Lowe was a good chairman.

    (Disclaimer; I'm obviously not comparing the two things, but it was the clearest example I can think of right now.)

    That's hilarious!

    Apologies if my meaning wasn't clear - I purely meant it from the point of view that if you throw enough ****, some of it will stick. That's effectively what Lowe did.

    I'm sorry but this is the most utterly ridiculous thing I have ever read on this forum as well as being distasteful. I agree, time to close this thread.

    Chill pill. Really, that's a massive overreaction.

    I'm confused as to;

    A) how it's distasteful
    B) how it's ridiculous

    It's not. It was a perfectly reasonable analogy. Unfortunately you just run the risk of uppity overreaction whenever Hitler or Nazism is mentioned. Case in point.

    If you think that is over-reaction then you haven't got much of a grasp on history. I know he was just trying to make a point but if you want to state over reaction then this analogy is about as over the top as you can get.

    OSv, if you are genuinely confused by my reaction then there is nothing I can say that wouldn't be insulting. If you are just trying to be clever then, you failed.

    I just knew that any thread on Lowe would end in tears. Why do we keep having them?
