Oops I forgot about those. Kuyt and Skrtel would always be part of the 25 and Doni is a newbie so he would be too.
They would too. Agger has to prove that he can stay fit.Johnson has major competition to get in the side with Kelly and Flanagan chomping at the bit to take his place.
I'd say Maxi definitely deserves a spot after last season, too. He doesn't particularly need to prove himself.
I definitely left out a few. I reckon however there is a number that may have to play themselves into Kennys thoughts and there may be some that Kenny has already made his mind up on and wants out.
Most of the players we have at the moment would fit in the 25 man squad. There are no problems there, we have pleny of youngsters coming through too. In fact, I bet if you listed all the players in the squad then you'd struggle to make 25 barring the ones that are already half way out the door - N'Gog, Aquilani, Degen, El Zhar, Jovanovic, Poulsen etc. We need to get a move on and ship them out. Anyway - back on topic, lets get a general consensus of what left back we want - The ones we've been linked to lately are Cissokho, Enrique, Jansen, Ãlvaro Pereira and Bridge. Who would you want and why?
What I was getting at is there is some that don't have to justify themselves. There are others that are playing for a future at LFC. Even Steven Gerrard is no longer a first name on team-sheet like he once was.I reckon Lucas has more chance of being first name on the team-sheet along with Pepe Reina. They won't get picked if they don't perform. If they get in the team, they have to ensure their performances justify their places or they will be replaced.Kenny won't think twice about replacing under performing players.Sentimentality doesn't come into it.If you want to be successful, you have to be ruthless, and I don't think the players have seen Kennys ruthless streak yet.
£15m is a lot for a player who has 1 year left on his contract (I think). I hope we don't get fleeced again by Newcastle. Not sure if I would prefer Cissokho - physically, he seems suited to the Premier League and would add some strength and speed to the wing.
Kenny can have him http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/tra...stle-Jose-Enrique-5million-article780294.html
