Does Fergie 5 year deal mean no more Jose?

Would you rather have given him a smaller one then tash, and run the risk of him getting better but then going to a different team - or keep him on the 5 see what happens (I doubt his wages are massive as he's only young?). This for me is a good move like, can't complain about it at all.

 

The right reason in this case is because he's a very promising talent who could seemingly go onto become a very talented first team player given his performances this season AND he came through the development squad so costs a fraction of paying a transfer fee for an alternate player with the same potential.

 

If it protects the interests of NUFC then I don't give a **** how long a contract a decent young prospect gets. He won't be getting paid very much anyway, so it's not a huge gamble.

 

Got to agree with oT's thoughts, who wouldn't want to tie a promising youngster like Fergie down to a long term contract?

 

Do you think he'll stay at number 31? When will a new squad list appear? I'm going to get him on my shirt this year, think he's quality and he plays the same position as me, all the way up the left wing. Also birthday is is 31st so it fits. I'm delighted for him and the club, people on here are being far to pessimistic lately.
