That would be enough evidence it was Luis Suarez in front of an FA panel...

Good points St. You highlight eloquently the issues with historical cases & application of punishment.

While I see the logic in applying the laws/punishments of the time of the crime, As you allude to We obviously aren't going to hang someone if we prove now they killed a man in 1938....there's also the issue of serving the public interest....as distasteful as it is, it would seem illogical to "over sentence a historical crime at a time when we are quite literally letting out modern criminals on exactly half their sentence....

There appear to be plenty of cases to test all this resulting from the fall out of the JS investigation.

As for Whelan, well it's the old danger of greasing each others palms in an environment of rich & powerful people. Chances are you're shaking hands with a pervert or two & calling them your best buds.

Unfortunately I don't think much has changed in the celeb circles, they are all use to getting what they want when they want it & know each others peccadillos so cover each other up.

Not that I'm suggesting (lawyers) that Whelan had knowledge of H actions but he'll get marked as more of a fool than he already is.

which ever way you cut it its a PR nightmare for whelan and this one could be the one that has a ll the pro manc footballing community running and hiding when he tries to get wigan promoted before a ball is kicked this season.

I reckon his comments 12 months ago that last season was ferguson's last probably got his club relegated as a breech of trust so I'm sure the fa cup is some small recompense. wink without a trace? we'll see...... the parachute payments these days seem to tip things so in favor of those relegated but wolves have proves that a couple of wrong moves can still ruin a club despite the cash. Wigan are so bad defensively that i'd not be shocked if there won the thing (on the right decisions side) or ended up lower half (any wrong move now could spell that no question)

Anyway.... like i said, guilt by two degrees of separation. the CIA and the FA can convict on stuff like this! ferguson better destroy all evidence.
