We have to come to fitness Willis, O Nien, McGeady, Broadhead, Wright and with Pritchard, Robinson, Neil, Embleton, Defoe, Clarke, Matete, Gooch, Kimpioka, Dajaku we could put 2 midfield teams out Alex needs to rotate the team though, should have had another striker, maybe Bejnji can be. i would start Robinson, Embleton, Clarke, Matete, Defoe, and Neil on Tues 4-5-1 system leave 2 defenders outside the pen area when we attack and 2 on the half way line. the Wigan game now is pointless so a weekend team there. average points needed for the play offs is 73 so get to 73-75 should be able to do that 5 wins 5 draws 6 winnable home games easy !
Probably not but this run of form cant go for ever and we will start winning again. Weve too many good players. We could head into playoffs in good form for a change
Heart says we will pick up in the last 13 games and storm the play offs Head says we will sneak in the play offs and lose before Wembley
Youll be waiting a while to see Broadhead mate. Hes not expected back till April, the season will be all but over by then
Course we'll go up lads, we actually learned to win at Wembley on our last visit, Neil is just getting his feet under the table. Easy win on Tuesday night, then we go on a run, finish 4th then win the play offs. Not sure why everyone is so worried we've got it in the bag
Sheff Wed wasn't a true reflection of our form. They played with too high a back line the likes of which we'll not see again this season. They were pathetic rather than us all conquering
I'm never going to give up on promotion, isn't that what we Sunderland fans are all about, backing our team through good times & bad. Yes we're going through the worst spell I've known for a long long time, but I truly believe AN will get it right & get us winning games again, if promotion means via the playoffs then so be it, they'll be getting my undying support. KTF.
I never say never when it comes to Sunderland, but it would take something from this group of players we haven't seen this season to even get close to the playoffs....
****ing hell!! Thought I was optimistic!! Good on ya… obviously there was no sarcasm or irony in your post at all?
I think that when you change managers after a January transfer window has shut you've essentially written off the season. Anything we do get is a bonus.
3-3 on aggregate in our 2 games this season… I agree with you, though. Don’t see us having much chance at all if we were to scrape a play-off place.
Finish 6th, play Wycombe in play offs. Comfortable 2-0 win at home, then get bullied at Adams Park. Akinfenwa bundles in their 3rd in the 92nd min
