…. where I can find a list/file of dams and their sires. So often we are presented with the sire and the dam but, apart from looking at each horse individually, there doesn't appear to be any lists/files of horses showing their sire, dam and dam sire

I can produce a file of all 2yos and their official ratings giving for each horse their sire and dam, but I also want the dam sire. If I could find a list/file of dams and their sires I could marry these up to provide a complete list that I would like to analyse

Any pointers please?

Drop Princess a PM, I am sure she would have the data. The one place I see it regularly is on the RP sales catalogue pages.

The annual publication Horses in Training gives damsires, or at least should.

You can get the info from the RP website but only in a single search, so a bit tedious

Looked at the latest HiT and all 2yos have their damsires listed. Frustratingly some trainers (Gosden and Watson) have chosen not to list their 2yos!

Here's an example of Stoute's 2yos. As you'll notice, many are unnamed as the book comes out in early March. None of O'Briens are named!

If I had that in electronic form, it looks as though I could just about unravel that but (a) it would be a bit messy and (b) a bigger problem is that it looks as though it would be a trainer at a time and selecting the 2yos from that

So, unfortunately, no good for me
