Let's not forget this league one player is 22 and scored 36 league goals last season. And Jordan Rhodes isn't starting for scotland either. Snoddy probably wanted to stop been a bit part player (i.e on the bench) while Premier League midfielders like Grahem Dorrans and James McCarthur get starting spots most games.
Didn't someone on this forum suggest to me that Norwich made a £7m offer for Snoddy to Leeds last season? I still don't believe that to be true, more a media hype story, but if it is and we now are only getting £1.5m +, then it very poor business by Leeds United.
The Times reported that £8m was our asking price last summer. No bid of above £4m was ever reportedly made.
As I said, the media hyping things up, but I remember someone on here stating to me that Norwich had offered £7m, I just can't for the life of me remember who it was.
I don't see why/where the media would have hyped any of that up. Grayson clearly valued Snodgrass very highly and I believe him and Bates actually did slap that £8m figure down to send a message that Norwich should piss off.
I don't dispute what value Leeds put on Snoddy, I dispute Norwich offered £7m for him. The hype is via the agent, he passes on information to sports media and they run with it, knowing that it may lead to a bigger story.
Ah right, well I certainly never remember any reputable site reporting a £7m bid from Norwich. Probably just someone on here who was confused about the asking price.
Problem being there is always confusion when it comes to transfers, because unless you are really in the know, you dont......................thats why lust want clarity from the start, at least if we have that we can only argue about players and positions.
