Weare more likely to have off-the -pitch problems with Andy Carroll than Suarez. On the pitch it's up to his teammates to stop him getting into trouble,

KingPepeReina, WITH REGARDS TO NO I IN TEAM TORRES , SORRY CAPS, before torres made it public his desire to leave, you would have summed him up just like suarez come on lets be honest, hindsight is a beautiful thing isnt it.

    This.

I think Suarez was our big name signing this year. We still need 2 or 3 more in my opinion to challenge, although i dont think it will mean top four is a formality.

I don't believe we need anymore signings, but would welcome a cf or a lb if they came.
Think we need to start blooding in a few of the players coming up through melwood as there is some good talent's there that just need to build on there experience. They could easily fill any short term gaps we might have and we need to start developing them at the highest level.

The thing we need to remember is we already have a few 'Marquee' players. Man City may have spent big but they had virtually no top class players at the club (I'd say David Silva and Carlos Tevez are their 'Marquee' players currently at the club), whereas we were already starting with Reina, Gerrard, Suarez before this window started.

Then we have players like Johnson (£14mil best English rightback and i actually think he still has huge potential to fulfill), Aquilani (£20mil worth of classy Italian international), Andy Carroll (£35mil top English prospect) who are all squad members but would be marquee signings to other clubs.

Then on top of that we have a large number of internationals and established players, so it's easy to see why signing consistent, quality players who plug holes in the team was the aim of the guys in charge.

As for whether we will still sign a 'Marquee' player, i think someone like Lavezzi is maybe a season and champions league football away from us. I do think there's a possibility of a Van Der Vaart style end-of-window signing. A quality name to add something different at a knockdown price, but the kind of deal you're just not going to get with so long to go before the window shuts.
