Watched ten minutes or so yesterday and there’s skill there for sure. Some impressive passing. However the intensity is poor so players have time to look up for a few seconds and pick that pass like an end of season Serie B game. Even in injury time a goal down Argentina had eleven behind the ball and smashed it out of play rather than try and build an attack. It can’t be compared to the men’s game but some of it is ok. Like watching beach football or that masters tournament they used to do.
Can I not come back on here please I hate all the ****s on the toon board.. I promise to be good and I apologise for the Sunderland jibes...
It's just not that good if truth be told. I've tried, a bit, and I can't. Before the Argentina game some bloke on the radio was interviewing some English player (sounded like she had a hair lip) and asked her if she was thinking of past battles between the two countries, like the hand of God game or the '98 Beckham sending off game. In fairness to her, she did sign and say it's not the (****ing) same but, for **** sake, why do the media insist on trying to perpetuate the idea that it is? They are galaxies appart. Galaxies far, far away.
The game is like the men's game, only played at half the pace and with acres of space that none of the women are fast enough to exploit.
