While I detest them all I don’t think there’s such a thing as a Brexit that leaves us better off than we otherwise would be. Just to claw back what we’ve had to pay in changing infrastructure and divorce payments would require some hefty benefits beyond what we’d have seen anyway.

However it’s the non-financial elements of Brexit that concern me more.

The sad and worrying part of your statement is had any of the other parties had they been in government, it would have been a whole lot worse..IMO

Net migration and allowing foreign students to bring their families, plus the tens of thousands crossing the channel illegally over the past few years, watched over by this Government is why there is a housing shortage, too much pressure on public services and why the NHS can’t cope
They have allowed millions into the UK without realising the consequences
Foreign students often pay huge sums of money to come here for education, but why do they need families to join them who them need our resources ?

And now it's Ed Davey who can’t tell you what a woman is

The only politician who imho wants to really curb migration is being hounded out of her job by the Civil Service and her own colleagues over another nothing issue, just like the Democrats in America are actually changing their own laws in order to try and get anything on Trump, while tens of millions of dollars has apparently been paid by China, to un-named Biden family members.

Politics in this country and all over the world is broken. No one has ethics or morals any longer.

As are the Police who are found yet again to be liars in what happened in Cardiff. I want the Police to pursue criminals and apprehend them, but why not fess up from the start as to what actually happened ? They must know that with all the CCTV camera's and people with mobile phones they wouldn't get away with it !

And the woman officer who was supposed to investigate Wayne Couzens behaviour who did a really bad job and then lied about it to try and cover up her ineptitude ! She apparently now has an Only Fans website called Naughty Policewoman - I mean, WTAF is going on in these establishments !??

Our education systems is teaching kids there are 70 genders, and is telling/encouraging them that they can be someone else whilst in school. This is child abuse.

    Rant over

Brexit management......oh and the economy, oh and recovering from the Pandemic fiasco.....oh and just about everything else.......
I'm in agreement that the Country is in a right mess in just about every department......but IMO, it could be a whole lot worse had we been led by that other shower...
Although IMO, it's all bollocks as they are all being directed by global organisations for control, finance and power...

Fair enough. We’ll have to agree to disagree that we’d have done worse than the tens of thousands of totally avoidable deaths, mass corruption, failure to act quickly and the resulting incredibly poor economic performance by just about any metric.

It's what happens when the opposition parties are quick to criticise measures put in place but are void of any ideas or direction to put it right..

Really! you take the biscuit with your comments "avoidable death's" you do not understand the subject or have a very poor command of the English language. 10's of thousands of death's were not totally avoidable, Covid was a killer that had no natural defence WE had to make one, and we did Blaming deaths on any .gov who might have been in power at the time is totally irresponsible conjecture. Above all else the .gov at the time did a fantastic job in every thing they did to fight it and get us through it.

We didn’t have to watch open-mouthed as we saw what was happening in Italy nor did we have to tip untested vulnerable people into care homes. We probably didn’t have to throw expensive contracts around to government cronies who delivered sub-par equipment either.

I totally get it was a tough time and needed hasty decisions. If you think our government performed well in the circumstances then that’s up to you.

They had an 80 seat majority. What could any other party have done? If Labour or anyone else had or hadn’t criticised the measures put in place and the timing it would have made no difference to the resulting number of deaths and illnesses.

you obviously didnt as you comment on PPE... a programme on TV pointed out the need to get PPE asap when the world needed 1000trillion items and there were only 3 trillion in production. LATER tests showed a minimal protection was better than no protection ..... viz my cousin in Scotland a seamstress made face masks from various cotton based cloths .. do you know how they work I wonder... likely you dont

The idea is to have a voice.....at the time, Stamer had no answers but was first to voice his criticism.....completely and utter useless.. didn't really give a sh!t about the pandemic, was just trying to gain political points...

I didn’t mention PPE but ok.

We bought a ****load of unsuitable PPE at a wildly inflated price from someone with close links to the government and little to no experience in PPE before the pandemic.

We were, not long before 2020, considered to be a highly prepared nation for such an event. We sacked off some of that preparedness in favour of Brexit preparations.

Labour called for lockdowns to be quicker and tighter than they were. I fear you’re misremembering this or being fed some untruths by your media of choice.

Again though, they’re the opposition. The clue is in the name. I suspect they were more supportive than had the roles been reversed.

There was a big un on here about that and a poster put up the info from public health england and it was what the government were doing and labour agreed with. Labour also backed the breaking of lockdown for demos like BLM thousands upon thousands broke lockdown here for that. Agree about PPE contracts but that one should be part of a public enquiry in the future.

I tend to agree because the alternative back then was Corbyn and his Stalinist thugs.
I’m not sure Starmer would have done any worse - but he wasn’t an option back then so we’ll never know.
It’s all hypothetical anyway - can’t be proved either way. We are stuck with this current shower until the next election - after which we will either have the current bunch of incompetent tw@ts hanging on in there - who have PROVED they **** things up, or a new, probably incompetent, bunch of tw@s in charge who MIGHT **** things up.
I’ve never been as lethargic towards our politicians from ALL the parties than I am now.

That’s why I’m even more convinced that they are all acting as puppets being operated by global organisations..
Take the so say climate crisis.. China are one if not the largest user of fossil fuels yet they are the ones providing the solar panels & wind energy components for us to go green!! Yeah that makes sense!!

And the blades of the wind turbines China sell us don't last that long, but they are not able to go to landfill when they are at the end of their useful life due to the toxicity of the materials that they are made from which poisons the soil.
So many things wrong here, and that's without the huge amounts of birds the blades kill every year, including Eagles.
Wind farms and renewables using this method for energy is ok when the wind is blowing. The rest of the time they are just an eyesore.

Sometimes it is prudent just ignore the comments of some people as there maybe underlying reasons for them. Having done volunteering for PHAB /Action for children and a couple other "health" charities you have to realise that being watchful of what you say is paramount. I draw your attention the following quote which pretty much sums up the event you mention as being based around PPE. an ENQUIRY AND DISCUSSIONS for and against have been rife!

Best maybe with so much confusion going on with your posting, as pointed out by many on here I cease to take part in any post that is not Football related with yourself
