Gone straight over my head that....sorry
I honestly can't remember but it was probably you who first mentioned the book about Joyland on this site. My mate, the only one still living in Hull that I'm in contact with - sent me a copy late last year. We worked together at Joyland (in 1963 I believe) - he was on the waltzers ride, I was on the bumper car ride. Spent a lot of time in the on-site cafe that had a jukebox that played all that music from '60-'63. Played the most? "Tobacco Road" by Nashville Teens. One of the songs that was always on when you mooched through Joyland when it was released. As was his Handyman.
I like the assumption by the writer of the song that back then that people would know who Queen Isabella was and why she hacked her jewels and what it led to. There would be some scratching of heads now.
That is a very comprehensive (set of) links to the subject of investment "caveat emptor" principles.

Probably the best summer job I ever had - although Butlin's in Skeggy had a lot going for it![]()

You're right. Memory often needs a jog these days?Tobacco Road was 1964. Nashville Teens were on at Brid Spa probably the most of any band followed by Amen Corner. Always reliable and put on a good show. When I think of 1964 in there I always think of Do Wah Diddy Diddy, I Get Around and Around And Around. Whenever I hear Like A Rolling Stone I am taken back to 1965. The next year we were 16 or coming up to 16 and in the pub.![]()
Cash in your holdings now, buy your 5 million quid mansion in Mayfair ( or Belgravia) now and sleep at night.Makes sense now.... I'll ride it and tbf long term it's only going to get more mainstream and grow, there will be dips and lows, but long term bitcoin is only going up. People have been saying bitcoin is/was a bubble that will pop since the start and I reckon they always will.

Noted, he's chasing the Mining Shares ARCM, TRP and ALBA mostly, I went more Rolls Royce, Tui, Easy Jet and William Hill when they all bottomed last year.
Yes I bought Rolls low then qualified for the diluted shares at just 32p, picked up BP at the bottom as well.Iv got a few of the mining ones, especially the ones that are targeting the minerals needed for EV/hybrid car batteries.
I think rolls Royce is a fantastic buy with the price the are at currently also BP
