Awful footballer, one of several ****e players I’ll be glad to see the back of when their contracts are up in the summer.
He is one of those with the fear in them. I didn't mind him initially but he seems to have been brainwashed by previous managers into being a sideways and backwards passing kind of player - no use to us in that mode.

Captain of a team in a tough league at 21. Obviously got relegated though so was perhaps lacking in confidence even then.
I don't mind Dobson and think he'll have a decent future if his defensive traits are nurtured and utilised because he's pretty crap going forward apart from the odd through ball.
This season he's suffered from a combination of a lack of confidence and being over eager and it's not been pretty at times. Not something that couldn't be fixed if Johnson wanted to which he clearly doesn't, fair enough.

Wish he'd just piss off. He's not needed and will never be good enough as we progress. Same could be said of others but clubs have shown an interest in him and Johnson doesn't want him either
I can see where your coming from and that you want to get behind the players, i commend you for that ,but this guy like others are not going to get us promoted, and we don't have the time in this league to nurture them given the monetary constraints, we need people to get us out now , and even if and when we get out there will be even more casualties who aren't good enough on the next stage of our journey,
I do tend to stick by the useless buggers a bit longer than most but it's not really that with Dobson. I bet if you look at our stats for tackling and aerial duals he's one of the best CMs we've got, hardly any of the others get their foot in (apart from Luke) and it doesn't sound like Winchester is the type either.
Having said that when I said about nurturing him I meant when he's moved on, Johnson doesn't seem to rate him at all and like you say we can't be fannying on with players who aren't (temporarily in Dobson's case imo) up to the promotion push.
I've always stuck up for him but I'm not sure why, I think your right in what you say, ive said for a while it's amazing how many second balls he wins but that's where the problem starts when he's got the ball at his feet, that's where he really struggles
