I can't see why he would tell a whopper. Totally pointless, what's in it for him? He's only been at the club a few days. I won't be jumping tp any conclusions, just wait and see how it pans out.

If Dobson has told him he has got a tight calf whilst the finishing touches are put onto his contract in Hungary, then Jones could argue that as far as he is concerned Dobson is still waiting to return to training.
I doubt Jones would have been involved in any of the details of Dobsons move, so he may not know at what stage it’s at and in the meantime he presumes that Dobson is still ours (which he probably is) so can justify saying what he has.
Of course the whole thing might be boll*x - it wouldn’t after all, be the first time that 200% information has leaked from elsewhere which turns out to be false. Let’s see where we are on 15th February.
