From one of the rumour sites Chris hughton has now allowed Brian McDermott to make contact with Luciano Becchio regarding a loan deal. This is due to Luciano storming out of a team meeting and showing a "lack of respect". I feel he is doing the right thing to force this deal through. Unfortunately my sources close to ER (who I don't wish to name, as it would give me away) have told me the gradel deal is a smokescreen. I hope this isn't the case as I would love both to return.
So initial thoughts? Are we happy with the prospect of signing Nahki Wells and if we do sign him and he is the main one to come in and there is no Gradel would we be disappointed?
You would disappointed if we signed Messi, Bale and scum Ronaldo. You could drive a Leeds fan to Prozac.
It was a genuine question - I am very open minded to Nahki he scores for fun in a lower division and I don't believe we will get Gradel so if we gain Nahki and don't sell any first team players I will say it was a successful transfer window. Not one that would give us an extra promotion push but one that could set us up well for next season IF Nahki turns out to be a goal machine. I just wondered what everyone else's expectations were because I personally feel that hoping for a Gradel return is far too optimistic.
If this takeover isn't completed we won't be signing anyone. Three days till the window opens and still not ratified.
I would have thought it was a formality, not as if we are dealing with Bates, Haigh must know everything there is to know now about the club.
I don't think we'll get Gradel. I think there's a bit of spin going on here. Coincidence that we're selling loads of half season tickets at the moment? I would agree with him not being signed, btw. Still think it's a lot of money to throw at a player who's really done nothing since he left us but get serious injuries and little game time. Money could be better spent elsewhere. Also, if he's as highly paid as I suspect, then I really don't want a 'pay wars' to break out in the dressing room. Too high risk IMHO.
Totally agree with you Whitejock Gradel is a smokescreen too much wages and possibly injury prone no Nakki Burke and Rowe will suit me fine
Can't see us risking cash on him,not played in any of the posh last 10 games.Would be a massive gamble
They let Boyd go in January to hull if they think we have a chance of promotion they will sell him cheap with add ons
Think you've missed the point, why would we pay good cash for a player who seems to have a serious injury, missed the last ten games is serious.
