saintsfc cortese said he is #staying!!!! -------------------------------------- If this constitutes good news....then I fear something bad happening tomorrow.
That decision also rests with the Liebherrs, but right now that's good enough for me. Not that he'd likely divulge all to young Greg, bless him!
Yep. http://www1.skysports.com/football/...rs-after-Manchester-City-taste-Wembley-defeat http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...-boss-even-if-Man-City-lose-FA-Cup-final.html
Not as far as I am aware. He said he didn't know what was going on and the club should have intervened.
Right..! Finally fixed this bloody computer. and now I'm off to bed. One last thing, I hear there are going to be huge renditions of... Stand up if you love the Don..! ... this weekend. I shall look forward to hearing that as I'm changing the brake discs on my motorbike.
Completely agree . Let's not forget that although it was ML's money that saved us, and For that I am very grateful , but it was NC who got him to spend it on us ! posted this before I read all other replies,so missed Romsey Saints comment .
I wish you'd toned option one down a little. I want him to stay, of course, but I can't sign up to "forever and ever. he's a great bloke." He's clearly an S.O.B. But at least he's our S.O.B.
None of the above would be my choice. Yes, I'd like him to stay but I'd also like the Liebherrs to stay. If the choice comes down to one or the other, I honestly don't know which way I'd go. I wouldn't want the club to be owned by another Asian or Russian who only do it for, "my club's bigger than your club reasons". At the same time Cortese does seem to understand how to get things done. For the club itself I would like to see steady progression. Not a Man City/Chelsea situation where money is thrown at it and the team changes every season. So far this has been balanced perfectly. So maybe Cortese wants more money and maybe the Liebherrs are right to be a bit cautious.
Surely the point is will the Family Trust continue to actively invest in Saints future plans? NC is clearly asking for their endorsement of his proposed spending budget, which maybe ML's heirs don't want to do. And I would like NC to stay, even if he is a hard man.
Been itchng to have the excuse to post this up again... For my money [geddit..?] billionaires are replaceable. The right man for the job..? Priceless..!
Oh hello, one says he must go, maybe a poster from the Echo site we call The Borer has discovered this site?
I'll never sing the pro-Cortese song we have because, as per usual, it's just another infantile anti-Portsmouth song. Vin
