i have read caughtoffside mentioned on other forums as the sauce, so its probably bull.

we would be lucky just to get him off our wages, that alone a fee for him.

I'm loving the idea of Adam going to Fulham, fingers, toes and nuts crossed (it's worth the pain)

I just pray for news of someone...anyone interested in Joe Cole. West Ham you say?.... Well someone who will pay his wages....

West Ham interest in Cole form what is being mentioned. I have heard we rejected a 23 mil pound off for Agger from City.

I presume it is safe to say that most of us would be happy if Adam left?

Y'know- part of me thinks it would be cool to have Dempsey in our squad because he went to the same University as me (only about 2500 students at any given time)... so he's almost like a cousin to me... ;)

The more serious side of me though would rather see Johnson, Walcott, or someone else. Dempsey's not bad- but I don't really see him as much of an improvement on Cole or Downing... and he isn't young either. Either way- an improvement in the squad over Adam... but minimal.

    You went to Furman?

Not an improvement on Cole or Downing, lol. He scored 22 goals last year! What more would you want from someone??? I agree on the age though, that is his biggest downfall at the minute.

I did... I am an FU grad. My dorm room window looked out over the Stone soccer stadium. I graduated a couple years before Dempsey played there though... Although back then- I liked the girls games more... especially when they got thigh injuries that had to be attended to... but I've grown up since then...

South Carolina... Greenville... kinda- we were to the North out a bit from the city... beautiful campus and close to the mountains- close enough I could go for all day hikes on the weekends. Really pricey- not very real worldish there- most of the kids there were ultra-conservative rich kids who had "daddy" pay their way for them... I had a whole bunch of little scholarships and worked full time... and yes, even after all that parents had to pay too.

I'm not convinced the education is much better than other schools- but it is really tough to get in- so it does give you a leg up applying for jobs and is a huge plus for people interviewing you... at least in the Carolinas... don't think as many people know of us outside the Carolinas because it is such a small campus.

We actually had really good football(soccer) teams- both boys and girls- won more games than lost- probably the second best sport that Furman did... First being golf... quite a number of pro golfers graduated from Furman... so I'm told... I know nothing about golf so couldn't tell you who they are... :D

Ya small school it is. In Tennessee Vanderbilt and Sewanee are the "Ivy league" type schools. Cinci Xavier is the better school and UC is kind of the norm.

Persistent rumour... although don't know if it is really true. Before we were the Furman Paladins- the school (originally affiliated with the baptist church) was the Furman University Christian Knights. (yeah, spell it out)... Never knew if that were an urban legend or really true.

Anyway, I heard we are getting Ramirez and Dempsey tomorrow. Not sure if the source is trustworthy though. #Cowboyretweet

Depends on the amount for Dempsey, is it like 5 and Adam? Ok is more towards 10? hmmm pass. But he will score or at least create for us no doubt.
