Red Telephone booths, I really miss them. I know it was annoying as **** when you stumbled across one and required to make a call and some utter ****wits had vandalised it. For those of us of a certain age, long before cancer inducing mobiles became prevalent, they were a nice sight.

We've never had red ones, ours are cream*. They do use a different design now, but I remember them having a bit of a promo about 'self cleaning' phone boxes, which were similar, but with no door or sides at the bottom so the wind blew through and 'cleaned' it.


*It's actually got some arty farty designation, but they look cream to me.

I would always call it a telephone box, not telephone booth.

There's quite a few in rural areas that have been repurposed as libraries. shops or bike repair hubs.

I don't think "Threads" has ever been repeated on the TV. Unless I'm talking ****, which is usually the case right enough.
