    Puma.

They were called 'Dalglish Silver' and you can get a signed pair for a mere £1200.00.

I think I can recall my first pair now. A pair of Black Mitre boots, but other than that I couldn't say anything about them. <ok>

no idea what the make was. they had long laces that you had to wrap around the soles a couple of time. These were always nasty to take off on muddy/wet days. (All days were muddy & wet back then). And they had reinforced toe caps I remember.

Think mine were made by someone pap like Patrick or Hi-tec, nothing spectacular, but this was back in the early 80s when boot choice was lilited to whatever Jim Bell sports had on North Bar

Yardley Tiger, did they have that bit of leather across the top just behind the big hard bit for kicking. What was that strip for, never knew.

You mean like in the picture Lakesideview. No idea mate. OLM thanks for the photo and the memories. All know they were bl***y heavy when dry let alone soaking wet. As was the leather football of course.

    Cheers

Adidas Predators were my first, they were on offer I think. As a goalkeeper, they didn't get much use out of them. Still had them until I went to secondary school.

Wasn't going to respond to this.......but here I am as I can't stop thinking about it now.

Don't recall the first but one pair in particular comes to mind. They were black leather with red plastic banding.
When I got them out of the bag at Cott rec, everyone took the piss..

    1. Because they were new and
    2. No-one had seen anything like them at that time.

My mum had bought them the day before because the previous pair had moulded studs and these had worn down to almost nothing. The new pair were useless as well, the toe caps softened up quickly beyond recall and I had to chuck them.

    If you are still awake....sorry

    Adidas Zephyr

Great pair of boots. I think they were fore runner for Adidas World Cup .Go for about £90 a pair now.
I then got a pair of Pony Paulo Rossi. They were ****e , my old man refused to clean them and I could never be arsed. One day I pulled the tongue prior to tying my laces and it came off in my hands.
It had basically perished due to my negligence .
